Independence Day

"Freedom, Faith, Pride of our nation's Independence Day always brings in us the true patriotism".
Independence Day is celebrated all over India with due respect and love towards our nation. It was indeed a great joy for St. Joseph's Indian institutions, to celebrate our nation's 75th Independence, with boundless patriotism in the school campus.
The programme began with the influx of dignitaries led by the school band, shadowed by Flag hoisting, and National Anthem.
The Chief Guest for the day was Lt. Col. Sanjeev Kumar, who is serving in Indian Army in Corps of Engineers and currently posted at Indian Air Force, Bengaluru. While addressing the gathering, he urged the teachers to inspire the students, to join the army and serve the nation.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues SJ, the Rector of SJII presided over the programme. He described beautifully about the Tri-Colour of our national flag and he concluded with the song of Rabindranath Tagore - "Prayer for our Country"
