Student Council Elections

June 17, 2022

"Leadership is not about the next election, it is about the next generation." In this direction of creating the next generation, St. Joseph's Indian Primary School organized the student council election on 17 June, 2022. This exercise was held in a democratic and competitive manner. There were six contenders for the post of School Pupil Leader, namely Victoria Charris, Joshua P., Amrithavarshini, Lenin Anthony, Lekhana and Varun read out their manifestos in the assembly and convinced the students that they were the right choice for the position. Rev. Fr. Felix SJ, the Director told all the students that this was an exercise to teach the students the importance of voting in a democracy and he asked the students to choose the leader cautiously, who would abide by the vision and mission of the institution. These elections provided an opportunity to the students to witness and exercise their fundamental right to vote.
